Sunshine at Work!
From January through April, Fairmount’s solar panels helped our church avoid $2,270 in overall electricity cost.
- From January through April 2025, Fairmount was billed $5,945 for 30,993 Kwh.
- From January through April 2026 , the solar panels generated 10,124 Kwh; most was used immediately at Fairmount, and some was sent back for a credit to the grid. First Energy billed Fairmount for a total of 24,351 Kwh used (6,642 Kwh less than in 2025).
- January through April 2026, Fairmount paid a total cost of $3,675
Since the system was activated on July 3, 2025, Fairmount’s solar panels have produced more than 38 MWh of clean electricity — the equivalent of driving 66,900 miles on sunshine while preventing nearly 58,900 pounds of CO₂ emissions from entering the atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible as we continue caring for both our church resources and God’s Creation.
