Parking Lot Repaving & Closure
As part of the ongoing work of our Buildings & Grounds committee, and as we prepare our church for the new program year, we are undertaking an important parking lot maintenance project. Surface Engineering will be completing crack sealing, asphalt sealcoating, and line striping on Thursday, August 27, weather permitting. Please note that the adjacent parking lot and several building entrances will be unavailable during this work and while the surface cures.
What to expect:
- Wednesday, August 26: Cones will be delivered. After the final car leaves that evening, Rich will block all entrances to the parking lot in preparation for the work.
- Thursday, August 27: Work will take place throughout the day, weather permitting. There will be no vehicle access to the parking lot all day.
- Friday, August 28: The newly treated lot will need approximately 24 hours to cure. Please do not drive or park on the lot until Friday evening, when access will reopen for the AA meeting.
Parking & Building Access: During the closure, all staff, church members, and building users should park on the street or in the far lot and enter/exit through the Northeast (Meals on Wheels) door.
The following entrances will be unavailable throughout Thursday and for most of Friday: the Main ramp and sliding door, southeast door, sanctuary door on the driveway side and sanctuary tower doors.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete this important maintenance project and get our church grounds ready to welcome everyone back for a new program year. Please plan ahead and allow a little extra time when visiting the church on Thursday and Friday. If the project is rescheduled due to weather, we will communicate the new dates with all building users as soon as possible.
