Support our Westside Neighbors!
We are a church who believes in the words of Jesus to welcome the stranger and feed the hungry. Some members of our friend Pastor Luis’ westside church are homebound and/or cannot afford food. IGAH has organized a chain of periodic food drives on their behalf. Fairmount is collecting this month (until August 20th) foods to fulfill their specific needs. There are families/singles, totaling about 40 people, will be using our donations.
Essential Items Needed:
- Grains & Legumes: white rice; beans – canned or bagged; masa harina (corn flour) or farina
- Canned Goods: tomato sauce or paste; canned corn, pigeon peas, or mixed vegetables,
- Canned tuna or chicken, canned Armour chicken Vienna sausage
- Chicken broth, Nido Fortificada dry whole milk powder(with Vitamins A, C, D, iron and calcium
- Cooking Essentials: vegetable or canola oil
- Spices & Seasonings: adobo seasoning, Sazon packets;
- Beverages: Instant coffee or tea bags, Klass Aguas Frescas (horchata, multi-serve powdered drink mix), Klass Aguas Frescas (hibiscus, multi-serve, powdered drink mix), Abuelita hot chocolate
- Miscellaneous:Feminine hygiene products, baby wipes, diapers (sizes 4, 5, 6. And 7), paper towels, liquid dish soap(Ajax triple action), liquid hand soap (Dial), laundry detergent (Dial), body soap bar, toothbrush, toothpaste
Bulk purchases can be made at BJs, Costco, Sam’s Club, or online at Amazon (have delivered to Fairmount church).Donations will be stored on the stage in Andersen Hall and delivered to Pastor Luis.
