WAMWAO Action May 30th in Youngstown

Many of our immigrant neighbors in NE Ohio who are detained by ICE are sent to the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center (NEOCC) in Youngstown. Despite the policy that states clergy are allowed to visit detainees at any time by coordinating with the chaplain’s office, many clergy from our community (including Pastor Ryan) have been repeatedly denied access to visit their own members in prison. On Saturday, May 30th at 1:00pm, people of faith from Cleveland and Youngstown will hold a peaceful demonstration outside the entrance to NEOCC to make public our demand for open clergy visitation.
