On Celebrate Sunday, Pastor Ryan introduced (in a very musical way!) the spiritual focus for the 2025-2026 church year: This Is How We Do It. It’s a focus grounded in Fairmount’s new mission, which was renewed earlier this year: reclaiming our humanity by embodying God’s love.

Jesus laid down a pattern for us – a pattern in which we see God’s design for our humanity:

“The Son stands first in the line of humanity God restored.
We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in Jesus.”

At Fairmount we’ve identified three strands in Jesus’ pattern for us – three ways of being human that God intended for humanity from the very beginning: Belonging, Purpose, and Potential. These aren’t ends in themselves; they are practices of discipleship that open us up to God’s ultimate aim: Liberation.

We have many joyful and meaningful opportunities for you to join us this year as we embark on examining how we can follow this intended pattern. Your generous contributions have enabled abundant programs at Fairmount for all ages and interests. Our church is thriving!

To continue to grow as Fairmount wants to, increased financial resources will be essential. In 2026 we hope to reach $740,000 in commitments. This will give us what is needed to support this thriving church. You have been a dedicated and steadfast supporter of Fairmount, and for that we are grateful. Most importantly, we hope to receive commitments of any size, each one truly matters.

There are many ways to make your commitment: fill out a commitment card found in the pews and return to our office, click the button below, or simply call the church office, 216.321.5800!

Thank you for sharing your abundance with us.
