“A Time to Break Silence” – Christian Discipleship and Social Movements
You are invited to a weekly series of discussions based on some key documents of the modern Christian church. The six-part series runs through February. The discussions will focus on Christian discipleship in a variety of contexts around the globe. This coming Sunday, February 1st, we will focus on the Confession of 1967. Sunday, February 8th will focus on the Medellin Conference Statement of 1968. Over the course of this series we will look at the Belhar Confession (1982), and finally, Dr. King’s address A Time to Break Silence of April, 1967. The links to the publications are below. Printed copies will be available in the Church’s office. The discussions will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Ganson Room. For questions, please contact Ben Sperry at bxs63@case.edu or (216) 272-9971.
