DESCRIPTION:“Spirituality in Nature” Lenten Walk on Saturday\, March 22nd.  \nPlease join us for a “Spirituality in Nature” Lenten walk at Acacia Reservation on Saturday\, March 22nd from 10:00 a.m. – noon as we continue to find God here\, there\, and everywhere\, experiencing the Holy in all of God’s Creation. The walk will be facilitated by Alycia Ashburn\, fellow FPCer and Co-President of the Board of Directors for The Center for Spirituality in Nature and Nikie Monah\, FPC Earth Stewards member. Acacia Reservation is located at 26899 Cedar Rd in Lyndhurst. The entrance to the parking lot is across Cedar Road from Cleveland Clinic’s Beachwood Family Health Center. We will begin by gathering on the east (parking lot) side of the white shelter building. This will be an intentionally contemplative\, relaxed walk on ADA-compliant\, paved trails. We care about people of all abilities\, and we will walk in a way that allows everyone to have a meaningful\, safe experience. Please dress for the weather\, wear comfy shoes\, and bring water and anything you would like to use for reflection (journal\, camera\, art supplies). Best suited for adults and teens. All are welcome to meet for coffee/lunch following the walk.

Are you wondering about how you might join Fairmount?  Join us for an “Explore Fairmount” gathering on Sunday\, March 2nd\, from 12:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. in Room 114 (next to the chapel). It’s a Breaking Bread Sunday\, so we’ll grab our lunch and bring it to the meeting room. We’ll get to know each other\, talk more about being Presbyterian and about Fairmount in particular\, and answer your questions. At the end of the gathering\, we’ll give you next steps if you decide that you would like to become a member of our church. But there is no obligation to join after attending the class. DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, February 23rd\, members of Fairmount Presbyterian Church and Shiloh Baptist will come together to watch and discuss Stamped from the Beginning\, a documentary that chronicles the story of anti-Black racist ideas and their staggering power over the course of American history. \nWe’ll begin around noon in the chapel with lunch and the film\, which is about 90 minutes. Then Pastor Ryan and Pastor Goods will offer some brief reflections and we’ll have some group discussion for about 30-45 minutes. Pizza\, salad\, drinks\, and popcorn will be provided! Register here.
